ZX Check-In 24"

Been using it for some trips now — really solid build quality and super smooth wheels.

The zipperless design is actually more convenient than I expected, and it just feels more secure overall.

So far no issues even on international travel. Definitely a good upgrade from my previous luggage.

I wanted to use these before I wrote a review. I travelled Germany for 7 weeks, 3,500+ miles, 50 trains… and I was NOT gentle with this luggage.

I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with my choice. I purchased several brands before deciding on Luggex—and this was hands down the BEST decision.

I had this suitcase maxed out weight-wise. Traveling alone much of the time meant I was constantly lifting, pulling, and yes… even throwing it on and off trains because I had more than one bag. Some days I didn’t even have the energy to carry it up and down stairs, so it literally bumped down step by step with me. I was worried the stairs would ruin my suitcase, but it was perfectly fine!!! The suitcase is incredibly durable.

And the wheels? AMAZING. They held up to EVERYTHING.

They handled every surface I came across. Cobblestone? No problem. Although I will say… in Köln (Cologne), the cobblestones were EXTRA 😂 so I had to put my back into it and pull!

It rolled smoothly across platforms, elevators, stairs, and everything in between.

It also went on and off escalators easily, which was a huge deal when traveling alone. My carry on sat on top and strapped easily to the pull up handle. i am 6’ 2” and the handle was a perfect length for me.

I brought a spare wheel but never needed it. The shocks did their job perfectly. After 7 weeks of serious use, the wheels still looked great, just normal scuffs and scratches (see pic).

Security was another huge plus.
No zippers to puncture, just a solid aluminum frame with two TSA-approved locks. I felt completely comfortable leaving it in the train luggage areas while I went to the bathroom or restaurant car. I also used a retractable locking cable for extra peace of mind.

The medium size fit easily in the overhead racks on German trains.

About the frame … I tried other hard-shell suitcases without aluminum frames, and they all felt floppy and “soft.” With my hip injury, I needed something I could sit on if necessary. The company didn’t officially recommend it, but I had to try it and it was SOLID .

I used it as a seat multiple times throughout my trip. Even my 6’10”, 300 lb son sat on his with no issue. The frame is no joke!! Seriously strong and well-built.

Bottom line:
I am SO happy with this purchase. We now own four different sizes and I am buying a set for my husband.

I’ve included a video of it rolling over different surfaces in Bad Honnef, regular cobblestones, the horribly bumpy ones in Cologne and down the stairs at the Cathedral. The wheel photo shows their condition AFTER the full 7-week trip. Even after sitting on them, a lot, the shock is in perfect condition.

We purchased the 20 inch carry-on and the 24 inch check-in hard sided Luggex zipperless luggage in April of 2025. We found both of these suitcases to be extremely durable and lightweight. While one of the corner plates suffered some extreme abuse during handling, the underlying corner of the case remained in near perfect condition.I would highly recommend this luggage without reservation. You may pay a little more but you won't be disappointed.PS: These two pieces were big enough to pack for a 28 day cruise and allowed us older folks to use public transportation. This is one of the best designed hard shell suitcases I have seen. It is extremely well made, sturdy and solid.It is very light considering the size. It has double wheels so it rolls very well. There is as a digital lock so no need to carry locks and keys.The interior has dividers and pockets that allow you to organize your clothes. Please note that this is not a cabin size luggage since it is a 24 inches. This being said, it is a perfect size, not to small, not too big.

This 24 Aluminum Frame - Polycarbonate Zipperless - Hard Shell Suitcase from LUGGEX is the perfect and safe checked-in case for my wireless/comm equipment.I always travel with a few comm equipment (amateur radio) transceivers, Antenna tuner/cables, and associated equipment around the world, and was on the lookout for something safe to protect my expensive equipment - at the same time not be overly heavy.I got this from LUGGEX, and at 10 lb it is not too heavy for my use - and still be within the 23kg total allowed weight including my equipment - as a checked-in baggage in most airlines.The lock mechanism is awesome - and very practical. It is a 3-digit numerical lock with TSA-key access, so border (customs) inspection is easy.The build quality is solid. Looks and feels durable.

Great piece! I got the 24”, so it could be more of a quick trip piece. While it’s shorter than my large suitcase, it has more of a trunk depth, than your standard zipperless hard shell. It rolls extremely smooth and I’m very impressed. I will be flying to Southeast Asia, next month, so more to come on how well it holds up.

I LOVE THIS BAG. Its was perfect in every way. Not only was it sturdy, spacious, able to be organized efficiently, but is looks magnificent and stylish. I will be addinrhe the 28inch and the 20 inch carryon to complete the set ASAP.

I have not used jet, but it is beautiful, light, good weels and handles, nice locks. It looks amazing.

Wonderful suitcase & tons of room and very lightweight. Used several airline trips so far & has held up great!

This suitcase is awesome I did not have to travel on an airline with it though so I don't know how it would hold up on that but for the most part it is large enough that I can safely and comfortably have three to four nights day somewhere and have everything that I want in it so I highly recommend it it rolls really well and looks really cool

Great mid-size check in luggage, I Travel every week with a hard hat, first suitcase that is deep enough to pack a hard hat without wrinkling clothes on the other side when closed. Looks great, appears to be durable so far.

I have only used them for two long trips, but they are holding up well. I really like not having zippers, even though it means you can’t expand these like the zippered cases.

For the money it does not get much better than this case.

Really loved traveling with this luggage. Lighter weight than expected, the wheels are perfection and so much easier that my previous luggage, it looks great, no damage, and the locks are nice as well. I was worried when it came in that it wasn’t sturdy enough and would get damaged easily, but I traveled with this to Iceland from the States, with a connection, and it held up beautifully. Overall, I’d highly recommend.

Great looking suitcase. Haven't used it yet but it looks super sturdy and will handle rough handling . unlike a Samsonite hard side that was just destroyed by the airlines. This luggex looks like a vault!!
Can't wait to use it next month!!

Beautiful and it has a spacious interior. The wheels seem very good.

This is a sturdy secure suitcase with great capacity. It is a narrower, deeper suitcase than the more usual form factor, but the extra depth allows me to pack a garment bag with two suits along with everything else. It has no zippers so will not expand, but I gain a lot of security with the all around aluminum frame and the integrated TSA approved 3-digit combination latches. I just completed a five-week series of four trips (2 holiday and two business) with this suitcase. Even loaded to 50 pounds, the wheels made rolling effortless.My only slight negative is that the suitcase comes with a lightweight cover that is basically heavy paper and did not hold up well. The nonstandard makes finding a replacement difficult, it would be nice if Luggex sold a durable cover of the correct proportions.

This suitcase survived substantial “discount airline” handling/travel, overseas, via many, many connections. I do wish it was a top-opening suitcase, taking up less space when open… but as-is, I still give it 4.6 stars. More durable than it seems. Wheels are still intact and silent. It has useful/thoughtful organizers. It’s not a super fancy-luxury bag, but it is legitimately nice and stylish. A win for the price point, for sure. Oh, and yeah.. Easily fit everything I didn’t need, plus what I actually wore. Perfect for 1-2 weeks if you don’t pack like I do. My cat likes it too! It’s possible she doesn’t want to be left behind, though :) We both agree that it was a solid purchase in this day of disposable everything.

I’ve purchased many different brands of suitcases throughout my lifetime & finally found Luggex. I bought the medium sized suitcase. It’s strong, stylish and easy to utilize

I bought a medium one on line and it was shipped to me fast. Love that has no zipper! Already traveled overseas, it was pouring when we landed and everything inside was dry!!
No scratched on my first trip, very easy to handle with one hand, it didn’t get stuck on the changes of floor and carpeting!
So far love it!!!
