Light and strong

This luggage tag is actually very strong and light weight; it seems to be made of real carbon fiber. Comes with a pen to mark your tag and the suggestion is that you can wipe off the marking with alcohol to change info as needed. The silicon attachment band is a pretty common material to see on tags; it has some give and stretch. This tag and the marker idea is pretty good for around town marking (backpacks, lunchboxes), but if checking a bag I would use printable stick on labels instead. I would also swap out the silicone band for a thick zip tie or metal cable to ensure a stronger connection when checking luggage into cargo. This tag is a basic step, but having an Apple Air tag -or other tracker- buried inside your luggage is key to not losing /recovering your items.

Tough luggage tag that stays put but don? count on erasing the ink

After losing several luggage tags to airline handling, I wanted something that could actually survive a trip. I used this tag on a recent family vacation, and it definitely held up. The tag arrived in great condition with a marker included. Right away, it felt sturdy and well-made, way better than the flimsy tags I?e had in the past. The thick rubber loop was easy to attach and stayed secure through the whole trip, even with rough baggage handling. The marker writes clearly, but here? where things get confusing: the product listing mentions both water-based and oil-based ink. The marker is definitely oil-based. The felt tip is thick, so with my large handwriting I could only fit my name and phone number. Even for people with small handwriting, the tip makes it tough to fit much more.I appreciated that the ink didn? smudge or wash off in rainy conditions. But removing it? That? another story. I tried dish soap, glass cleaner, Clorox wipes, all-purpose cleaner and nothing worked. Hand sanitizer faded it slightly but damaged the white coating. If you want a durable tag and don? plan to change what? written often, this is a great choice. I? giving it 4 stars because the ink doesn? clean off as advertised.

Worth every penny

Yeah they cost more than basic luggage tags but holy cow the quality difference shows. The carbon fiber is so light yet rigid - no more bent or cracked tags.

Finally - tags that survive airport abuse!

After going through 3 sets of broken plastic tags last year, this carbon fiber tag is game-changer. That sleek matte finish hides how crazy durable they actually are - mine have been tossed around by baggage handlers on 7 trips and still look brand new.
